Terms of Service

Rules for using drumbeet

Effective May 12, 2026. By using drumbeet, you agree to these terms.

Use of the service

Drumbeet provides browser-based tools for searching, editing, generating, previewing, saving, and exporting drum MIDI. You may use drumbeet only if you can form a binding agreement and are at least 13 years old.

Accounts

Your content

You keep the rights you have in MIDI, prompts, patterns, and other content you provide to drumbeet. You grant drumbeet permission to host, process, transform, display, reproduce, and export that content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

Generated MIDI and exports

Drumbeet lets you export generated or transformed drum MIDI for use in your own projects. You are responsible for how you use exported material, including releases, distribution, licensing, publishing, and rights clearance. Drumbeet does not guarantee that any generated phrase is unique, copyrightable, royalty-free, or free of third-party claims.

Corpus and references

Drumbeet's current public phrase corpus includes contributor-created drum performances, programmatically generated drum material, and Google's Groove MIDI Dataset. Artist, song, style, genre, or dataset references are used for search and musical context. They do not imply endorsement, affiliation, or a license from any artist, label, publisher, dataset provider, or platform.

Acceptable use

AI-assisted features

Some drumbeet features use algorithmic or AI-assisted tools. Outputs may be unexpected, incomplete, similar to common musical patterns, or unsuitable for a particular release. Review generated material before using it.

Third-party services

Drumbeet may link to or integrate with third-party services such as OAuth providers, email providers, Cloudflare services, model providers, music metadata sources, Discord, Magenta, Groove MIDI Dataset, and FreePats. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Availability and changes

Drumbeet may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Drumbeet is provided as available and without warranties to the maximum extent allowed by law. To the maximum extent allowed by law, drumbeet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
